Treating Symptoms
Many of the symptoms of MS can be treated using drugs appropriate for the particular condition. These treatments are not specific to MS. Symptoms that often respond well to drug treatment include fatigue, muscle spasticity, bladder problems, pain, erectile impotence, tremor and depression. Different people respond to drugs in different ways, and you may have to settle for an improvement in the symptom rather than a complete ‘cure’. Not all symptoms will respond to treatment, especially in the later stages of MS.
